Summary
- Scripturial 3 onwards does not intentionally collect any personal identifying information.
- Data from previous versions is scheduled to be deleted.
- Anonymous non-personally identifiable statistics might be collected in the future.
What information Scripturial collects
Except for when you opt use the feedback button, Scripturial 3 operates completely offline. No personally identifying information is required or collected under normal operation of the app.
Previous versions of Scripturial collected some information such as username, email address and study statistics. This information will be to be deleted after the rollout of version 3 is complete.
Current versions of Scripturial do not collect basic study statistics. Study statistics may be collected anonymously in the future to improve the quality of the software.
IP address may be transiently stored for security purposes. IP addresses are not connected or linked with user feedback. IP addresses may be monitored by staff, software and/or hardware tools to detect and prevent unauthorized activity and intrusions.
Invitations to participate as a beta tester include a separate privacy policy to cover beta program participation.
How we handle Personal Data
No personal information is required or intentionally collected during normal operation of Scripturial app. It is possible to submit anonymous feedback inside the app. Do not submit anonymous in-app feedback unless you consent to the following: Feedback is transmitted over the internet; Other people may see your feedback; and, that your device operating system (iOS or Android), software version and, an anonymous random number (not linked to your identity or device) is included in the feedback. Feedback messages are deleted once they have been processed.
Security measures may be in place that monitor incoming feedback to prevent abuse. For example, metadata about your feedback request may be transiently retained in order to prevent DDoS attacks.
Data Retention Policy
Collection and storage of personal identiying information is avoided to the largest extent that is practical and legal. Only the minimum information required to offer this service will be retained. Information will only be retained as for as long as it required to offer this service. Should it be required by local authorities that some information must be retained, this information will also be retained.
If in the future, it is decided some additional anonymous information will be collected, we may retain information such as: questions a player answers correctly/incorrectly; scores achieved for each level. If in the future this occurs, this information could possibly be shared anonymously over the internet and could possibly be shared with shared with qualified teachers to analyse the difficulty of questions and levels, in order to impove the lesson content.
